About

welcome to ve-2Welcome to Virtual Emotions (∿e), a website meant to be any true VOCALOID fan’s homepage – with news, reviews, announcements, art, and translations. This website is the sister-site to VocaDB, and a supporter of the Vocaloid Movement. We are currently in beta, so the site may still undergo some drastic changes (even while you’re viewing!).
We have a primary focus on VOCALOID, including the virtual singers themselves, the community, related news and media, and creations. Secondary interests that e covers include anime & manga, technology and other aspects of Japanese culture.

This site is run by three main staff members:

  • salanos (writing, design, administrative): Highly critical individual and detailed writer with varying interests ranging from graphics, games, photography and many fields of technology, residing in eastern part of the world. Occasional technology writer/analyst and audiophile.
  • riipah (administrative and technical support): An European fan of Miku, and a Windows systems professional. A staunch collector of cute figurines and VOCALOID CDs as well as the creator of VocaDB.
  • Loserbait (server provision): An Australian fan whose origins lie in his status of extreme rhythm gamer. A resident of Japan, Loserbait quickly became a fan of Hatsune Miku following the release of 初音ミクーProject DIVAー.
This site will also be implementing a ‘fan’ program, where VOCALOID fans of all ages, nationalities and backgrounds can write in with article ideas, we will then green-light one every two weeks. This will let the movement grow closer and stronger with each and every article. Please let us know if you ever want to write an article for us, and we will give you a chance.
